Flagship Forwarding managed the import of oversized flat rack cargo from Japan into Long Beach Port for a U.S.-based energy client. Due to the size and configuration of the freight, the shipment required specialized handling upon arrival.
Once discharged at port, the cargo was carefully offloaded and transferred onto flatbed trailers for inland transportation. Leveraging West Coast infrastructure and proximity advantages, the shipment was quickly processed through a dedicated transloading facility.
The cargo was then transported cross-country with full coordination to ensure safe handling and on-time delivery to the final destination.
Handling oversized flat rack cargo requires precise coordination at port, including safe discharge, staging, and reloading. The shipment also required careful planning for inland transport due to its dimensions and securing requirements.
Our team ensured all cargo was properly handled at the port, transferred without damage, and routed efficiently across the country while maintaining compliance with transport regulations.
